NEW ORLEANS — The driver of a Nissan 370Z police had identified as the person who hit a woman with his car as she walked on Interstate 10 Service Road in New Orleans last week has been arrested according to the New Orleans Police Department.
The crash happened at about 8:39 p.m. on April 20. Police say the woman was walking on the shoulder of the road when 23-year-old Seth Anthony West struck her with his car and fled the scene.
“On April 28, the suspect vehicle was located by police. Through further investigation, NOPD Traffic Fatality Unit detectives positively identified West as the driver of the vehicle at the time of the incident. West was arrested and booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center on one count each of hit-and-run driving involving death or serious bodily injury and of obstruction of justice,” the NOPD said in a report.
