COVINGTON, La. — A woman is dead after a crash in a parking lot near Covington, according to the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office.
The accident happened Thursday evening around 6:30 p.m. Deputies were called to a parking lot in the 300 block of North Highway 190 about a "female who had been severely injured after a crash at the location."
Deputies said the woman suffered fatal injuries and died on the scene.
The St. Tammany Parish Coroner's Office will identify the woman.
The sheriff's office is investigating the cause of the crash.
