NEW ORLEANS — A cleaning crew sweeping the parking lot of a Gentilly Shopping Center was shot at, and the incident was caught on security camera video.
The New Orleans Police Department says the shooting happened Monday at about 10:58 p.m. at a business in the 3000 block of Gentilly Blvd.
The video shows a group of people sweeping the parking lot with brooms when a dark-colored sedan pulls up. The passenger of the sedan exited with a rifle pointed at the crew, ran toward them, and fired several shots at the people as they ran to their white pickup truck.
The shooter got into the sedan and sped off. The NOPD did not say if the gunfire injured anyone.
