Caught on Camera: Masked suspect sought in Christmas decoration vandalism investigation, sheriff says

In both instances, the suspect left a note on the front porch of each home, reading "Happy Xmas"

CHALMETTE, La. — The St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office is looking for a Christmas Grinch who has vandalized at least two homes in Chalmette over the weekend.

According to Sheriff James Pohlmann, a masked suspect damaged holiday decorations at residences in the 2800 and 2900 blocks of Ivy Place on Sunday morning.

In both instances, the suspect, who was caught in the act by a doorbell camera, left a note on the front porch of each home, reading "Happy Xmas."

Sheriff Pohlmann has asked anyone knowing the identity or whereabouts of the person depicted in the attached video to please call the SBSO at (504) 271-2501 or the Criminal Investigations Bureau’s tip hotline, (504) 271-TIPS or 8477.
