SLIDELL, La. — Late last month, two separate investigations conducted by the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Narcotics Unit and Proactive Enforcement Unit led to the arrest of five adults and the seizure of drugs, paraphernalia and a firearm.

Four arrests were made on Oct. 30 after a search warrant was executed at a residence in the 300 block of Brookhaven Court in Slidell, which was the home of 40-year-old Dennis Midkiff, 28-year-old Alicia Smith, 36-year-old Michael Midkiff and 55-year-old David Lambert.
Dennis Midkiff and Smith, both on probation for previous narcotics possession, were taken into custody in Covington with the assistance of Louisiana Probation & Parole. Michael Midkiff was located and arrested on a traffic stop during the same time, and Lambert was arrested at the Brookhaven home.

The STPSO says Parker initially refused to come to the door and instead hid in a bathroom, where detectives found evidence to indicate Parker flushed drugs down the toilet. This was all while detectives say Parker’s 2-year-old daughter was allegedly in the home.
Detectives seized 113 counterfeit oxycodone pills containing fentanyl during their investigation. Parker was also on probation at the time for Possession with the Intent to Distribute Fentanyl.

In both cases, the Department of Children & Family Services was notified due to the fact children were living in the homes.
