2 women wounded in 2 separate New Orleans shootings

The victims were taken to the hospital. Their condition is unknown.

NEW ORLEANS — The NOPD is investigating two separate shootings that wounded two women in New Orleans.

The first shooting happened Monday at about 1:01 a.m. in the 3200 block of Rue Parc Fontaine Algiers.

Initial NOPD reports show an adult female gunshot wound victim was transported to the hospital. Her condition is unknown at this time.

The NOPD is also investigating a second shooting about four hours later near the intersection of North Johnson and Esplanade in Treme.

Investigators say an adult female was shot and transported to the hospital. Her condition is also unknown.
