2 men shot on Bourbon Street take Uber to hospital, police say

The men were walking down Bourbon Street around 12:30 a.m. Sunday when they told police they heard a pop

NEW ORLEANS — Two men were apparently shot while walking down the city's busiest street early Sunday morning, then took an Uber to the hospital for treatment, police said.

A 22-year-old man and 23-year-old man were walking in the 400 block of Bourbon Street after midnight when they heard a pop, NOPD officials said.

Shortly after, one man began to feel pain in his calf and the other in his foot, they told police. They hurried to a business in the 800 block of Bienville Street when the second man noticed blood filling up in his shoe.

The two men called an Uber, which took them to the hospital for treatment.
