NEW ORLEANS — Two Louisiana restaurants were named to the New York Times 'The Restaurant List.'
The list features 50 of the best restaurants in the United States. It was put together by New York Times reporters and editors.
Acamaya is one of the Louisiana restaurants that made the list. It's an upscale Mexican restaurant located in the Bywater. Chef Ana Castro opened the restaurant in June with her sister Lydia. Our partner at NOLA.com, Ian McNulty, says the Mexican restaurant is reminiscent of what you would find in Mexico City,
Zeeland Street is the other Louisiana restaurant featured on the New York Times list. It is located in Baton Rouge and is known for its home-cooked breakfast and lunch plates.
