Malik is no stranger to New Orleans. He was born here, but he moved to Texas in 2005 after Hurricane Katrina. Malik lived in San Antonio before attending Texas State University in San Marcos. He graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in Electronic Media and Mass Communication.
Malik’s first job brought him to San Angelo where he was a producer, reporter, fill-in anchor, and weatherman. Malik covered everything from breaking news, to local events.
Malik is so excited to rediscover his hometown.
“I can’t wait to see how the city has evolved since I left and explore the culture, cuisine and community.”
