NEW ORLEANS — Saints Quarterback Drew Brees is going undercover.
The future Hall of Famer will feature on the season premiere of CBS's 'Undercover Boss,' getting decked out in a convincing prosthetic disguise to work at his own Walk On’s Bistreaux & Bar location just blocks from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
Brees is a co-owner and partner in the sports bar chain, which was founded by Baton Rouge native Brandon Landry in 2003 and today has 33 locations across Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida and North Carolina.
Landry, the CEO of the chain, also goes undercover in the premiere episode at several Walk On's locations across the state. Brees joined the franchise in 2015.
The pair will work in their own restaurants, hiding in plain sight to find out what really happens in day-to-day life and make improvements to their business.
Brees, the MVP of Super Bowl XLIV, worked alongside restaurant employees as a dishwasher in the Spring of 2018 to create the episode, keeping his identity a secret until the end of filming.
While the Saints season ended sooner than anyone had hoped, a CBS spokesperson says the episode highlights Brees' love for the area and New Orleans' fans.
The ninth season of Undercover Boss premieres Wednesday at 7 p.m. (CT) on CBS.
The New Orleans Walk On's that participated in the show will host a watch party for the premiere Wednesday night, open to the public.
