'Swamp People' fans bite back after casting cuts

With little explanation, cast members of History's 'Swamp People' have been cut from Season 7. Fans voice disapproval.
Gator Queen Liz, Jeromy Pruitt and David LaDart announced they received news they will no longer be on the series 'Swamp People.'

With little explanation, several cast members of History channel's reality show 'Swamp People' have been cut from Season 7. The fishermen took to Facebook to share the news.

Cast members Jeromy Pruitt and David LaDart shared the announcement on their Facebook page, and cast member Queen Gator Liz took to the social network to share her news a few hours later. 

Pruitt and LaDart's statement: 

"Just wanted to let everyone one know that we just got the call from Swamp People on History that we were cut from the show. We had a great time an met so many wonderful people. Thank you to all the fans. You haven't seen the last of Jeromy Pruitt and David LaDart aka the SWAMP LEGENDS"

Queen Gator Liz's post: 

"Due to unknown reasons by the production company "Original Media" my family and myself, along with other original cast members, besides Jeromy and David, will no longer be participating in the Swamp People series, starting with season 7. It saddens me to know that our fans are the ones who will suffer from these unexplained actions by the new management of this production company. REALITY. We will continue with our regular lives and hope to stay connected with all of you in the future. To all of my fans, with love, GatorqueenLiz."

 

 

 

 

Fans of the cast members quickly took to Facebook and Twitter to express their disdain for the decision as well as the lack of explanation.
