Jennifer Lopez cancels New Orleans show

J. Lo had been scheduled to come to The Smoothie King Center on Aug. 30, her 'This is Me ... Now' tour is expected to end earlier than that.

NEW ORLEANS — Jenny is no longer coming to the block. The pop icon canceled her tour date at the Smoothie King Center on Aug. 30, as part of her 'This is Me ... Now' tour.

The tour was then scheduled to end in Houston the next day.  But that date was also canceled by Lopez's team along with appearances in Nashville, Atlanta, Tampa and Raleigh.

Here are the tour dates ... now.

J. Lo will play her last two shows at Madison Square Garden in New York on Aug. 16 and 17.

The tour is part of a promotion for Lopez's new album, which released in February. Its title is a throwback to her 2002 album, 'This is Me ... Then.'

The album was also adapted by Lopez into a movie for Amazon Prime's streaming service, featuring big names across the spectrum of pop culture including rapper Fat Joe, comedian Trevor Noah, TV star Sofia Vergara, scientist Neil deGrasse Tyson and Lopez's husband actor Ben Affleck.

If you are looking for something to see instead of Lopez at the Smoothie King Center, New Orleans native and rap mogul Master P, will perform there for his 'Master P. and Friends' tour. The concert has been scheduled for May 3.
