NEW ORLEANS — The Rex Organization announced that they would move its queen reviewing stands from the Hotel Intercontinental to Pascal’s Manale on Napoleon.
Rex officials say this will allow the court to watch the entire parade.
"Today’s announcement is also a step toward ensuring the Rex Parade is completed safely and timely in four hours, by 2:30 pm, which should help all involved, especially the truck float parades that follow the Rex Parade," Rex officials said.
The toast was skipped earlier this year due to the parade running late.
Rex also said they anticipate the toast between the King of Carnival and the Queen of Carnival will begin between 10:50 a.m. and 11:20 a.m. next year
The parade is set to roll on Mardi Gras Day (March 4) at 10:30 a.m.
