Southeast Louisiana dries out, returns to streets in picture perfect day for parades

Paradegoers caught coveted throws, marching bands played their songs, and an assembly of krewes paraded.

NEW ORLEANS — It was all smiles Sunday as families, friends and tourists lined up to experience the end of Carnival's first full week of full parades. The picture perfect weather came one day after krewes either slogged down the streets or rescheduled due to heavy rain. With dry streets and sunny skies, it was picture perfect day for parades. Paradegoers caught coveted throws, marching bands played their songs, and an assembly of krewes paraded.

Southern University's 'Human Jukebox' marched with the krewe.

The Queen and King of Krewe of Carrollton celebrated 100 years of parade memories and presented the keys to the city by Mayor Cantrell.
