NEW ORLEANS — The all-clown krewe Les Fous du Carnaval will roll through the French Quarter on Friday. This year, the krewe's theme is 'Big Clown Energy', and the group is bringing out all the jesters.
Its third year parading in Carnival, the krewe said, 'If you ain't right, we got the remedy!" Decked out in an array of costumes from drolls to hand-crafted tokens of mirth, parade-goers are in for a night of tricks.
Les Fous du Carnaval is a combination of inner krewes, including Krewe of Goddesses, Flora & Fauna, Krewe of Hellarious Wingnuts, and a new addition, The Legendary Order of the Casket Girls.
Nearly 150 members will parade through the French Quarter, from Frenchman to Jackson Square. Joining the krewe will be brass bands New Groove and Kings of Brass.
They are set to roll on Friday, Jan. 19 at 8 p.m. View the parade route here.
