NEW ORLEANS — Krewe of Pygmalion Parade has announced reality TV personality and music producer DJ Pauly D as its 2024 Grand Marshal.
For the past seven years, the Krewe of Pygmalion said it has brought top-tier talent to the city during Carnival season for its annual Pygmalion Fest at The Sugar Mill. DJ Pauly D holds residences in Las Vegas at Drai's and in Atlantic City at The Pool After Dark at the Harrah's Resort. He has also toured the U.S. with pop-culture icons the Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears.
This year's parade will have 27 floats with more than 1,000 riders, the krewe said parade-goers can expect an "electrifying night of music, fun, and celebration." Their most memorable floats include Aphrodite, Jester, and the Mammoth.
The Pygmalion Krewe was established in 2000 and is a krewe made up of both men and women. The krewe even took to Facebook to show some of the throws parade-goers can expect for its upcoming parade.
After the parade rolls on Saturday, Feb. 3, at the corner of Jefferson and Magazine to the CBD near Mother's, the Krewe will kick off its after-party festival.
The Pygmalion Fest starts at 9 p.m. at The Sugar Mill.
