NEW ORLEANS — The 2024 Carnival season kicked off on January 6, and the Krewe of Zulu is set to roll on Mardi Gras Day, February 13, at 8 a.m.
The parade starts at South Claiborne and Jackson Avenue. They will go down Jackson until they reach St. Charles Avenue and go down St. Charles until they reach Poydras Street, where they'll take a left and follow Poydras until Basin Street, where they take a right and continue until Basin becomes Orleans Avenue. The parade will end at Orleans Avenue and Broad Street.
WWL Louisiana Anchor Charisse Gibson is a member of this year’s Zulu Royal Court as Assistant to the Zulu Queen.
“I am so thrilled to be part of this experience. Queen Select Angelique has been tremendous behind the scenes, so happy to see her shine publicly as Queen Select. This has been an adventure that has taken place over the last few months. Can’t wait to ride along with my fellow attendants in the Zulu parade on Mardi Gras Day,” said Gibson.
