GRETNA, La. — The Krewe of Kuties will bring out all the little ones for its seventh annual marching parade on Saturday in Gretna.

Krewe of Kuties is a walking neighborhood parade, the krewe said. Parade-goers can expect to see kids walking or riding in Carnival-decorated bikes, wagons or strollers. Marching around Huey P. Long Avenue, the parade is an interactive experience for families looking to get into the Mardi Gras spirit.

This year the krewe's Grand Marshals are 6-year-old Emer Dillion and 19-year-old Matthew Rolfes. The parade is part of the City of Gretna's Mardi Gras Kick-off on Huey P. Long Avenue. From Friday through Saturday, events will be hosted throughout Gretna.

The parade will start at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 27 and march along Huey P. Long Avenue from 2nd to 8th to 3rd Streets. King cake festivities will follow the parade, the krewe said.
