Britney Spears childhood home in Tangipahoa Parish for sale on Zillow: $1.2 Million

The house in Kentwood is located on a 1.87 acre estate, according to the listing.

KENTWOOD, La. — If you seek a home in Tangipahoa Parish with some pop music significance, Britney Spears' childhood home in Kentwood is up for grabs.

The 2,299 square foot house was listed for $1.2 million on the real estate website Zillow, as of Thursday.

"Many of the furnishings are original to the home, preserving the essence of the iconic singer's early years," The Zillow listing reads. "The chance to own a piece of pop culture history makes this property all the more special."

Spears is no longer just a music icon, her memoir, "The Woman in Me," was released on Oct. 24 and as of Wednesday sold over 1 million copies in the United States.

The memoir helped boost sales of Spears' music, with a 61.4% increase in album sales and 49% increase in digital sales a day after the release.
