NEW ORLEANS — Alexa Trischler is a native of the New Jersey Shore, but she's no stranger to the Gulf South! She spent three years of her career in Tallahassee, Florida as a meteorologist for the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and as a meteorologist/multi-media journalist for the local ABC news affiliate.
There, she covered severe and tropical weather forecasting, plus reported on impactful community stories. She also spent time in Wheeling, West Virginia as a meteorologist/multimedia journalist for the local ABC/CBS affiliate. Alexa received her Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from Rutgers University.
She understands New Orleanians have gone through so much over the years because of the weather and she hopes to play a part in preparing our community for whatever comes our way.
