NEW ORLEANS — Amelia Strahan is a multimedia journalist with a background in production.
After graduating from the University of Southern Mississippi, Amelia moved to New York City, where she lived for four years. She worked in production at NBCUniversal and Fox Business. Through her experiences at the two networks, she learned how to deliver accurate and compelling news content to audiences nationwide.
After four years in New York City, Amelia decided it was time to move closer to home. Before joining WWL Louisiana, Amelia began her career on air as an MMJ at WXXV News 25 in Gulfport, Mississippi. She enjoyed her time telling the stories of the wonderful community on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. After two months, she was promoted to the midday anchor.
Amelia loves the warm weather, incredible food, and southern hospitality in New Orleans. In her free time, Amelia enjoys running in Audubon Park, trying out new restaurants, and spending time with family. She and her husband are proud dog parents to their westie, Coconut.
