Eric Paulsen honored by New Orleans City Council

Paulsen was honored for his outstanding journalism and commitment to the city of New Orleans and surrounding regions.

NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans City Council honored our very own morning anchor, Eric Paulsen, on Thursday.

He was honored for his outstanding journalism and commitment to the city of New Orleans and surrounding regions.

Paulsen has been with WWL-TV since 1978 and still greets you every morning at 6 a.m.

He's covered major stories and notable New Orleans legends. Paulsen was honored, along with long-time journalist Romalice "Ro" Brown, for their work in journalism, for the city of New Orleans.

Brown was the first African-American on-air sports anchor and reporter in New Orleans in 1978.

Paulsen was joined by WWL-TV News Director Nicole Waivers and his morning show co-anchor Brandon Walker.
