NEW ORLEANS — A lane of traffic has reopened on I-10 East at Mile Marker 217 on the Bonnet Carré Spillway Bridge following a vehicle fire.
DOTD says Congestion from the incident reached several miles. Traffic was stopped shortly after 1:30 p.m. and one lane had been reopened as of 2:30 p.m., though there was still a backlog of traffic.
Lousiana State Police asked drivers to use the alternate route of US 51 to Airline Highway (US 61).
