METAIRIE, La. — A vehicle crashed into a home in the 100 block of Homestead Avenue in Metairie, La., on Tuesday night.
WWL Louisiana reporter Lily Cummings was on the scene near the corner of Brockenbraugh Street just after 8 p.m.
WWL was told by the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office that the vehicle and the residence were occupied by at least one person each.
According to JPSO, a woman was inside the home during the crash, but she’s been checked out and deemed ‘OK’ by medical personnel on-site.
JPSO investigators told WWL the crash occurred after the adult driver suffered a medical emergency and veered into the home.
The adult driver was taken to the hospital with "non-life-threatening injuries."
