PEARL RIVER, La. — Firefighters fought for about an hour to contain a large fire at a Pearl River home late Monday night.
The St. Tammany Fire Protection District No. 11 said the first started around 11:51 p.m. on Nelson Road in Pearl River, La.
Firefighters say that no one was inside the home or on the property when firefighters arrived. It appears that the home was being renovated.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Photos and video from the scene show a fire bursting through a large collapsed portion of the building's roof.
