Man's body discovered after Marrero camper fire

According to the Louisiana Fire Marshal's Office, the fire started just before 1 a.m. in the 6100 block of 4th Street.

State Fire Marshal deputies are on the scene of a camper fire investigation in Marrero involving one death.

MARRERO, La. — Authorities are investigating the cause of a camper fire in Marrero early Monday that left one person dead.

According to the Louisiana Fire Marshal's Office, the fire started just before 1 a.m. in the 6100 block of 4th Street. Fire investigators say a man's body was found inside the destroyed camper. 

The man's name has not been released at this time.

A photo posted on the fire marshal's Facebook Page shows the charred debris that remained after the fire.
