NEW ORLEANS — A semi-truck was engulfed in flames on I-10 Friday, near the Norman C Francis overpass.
Fire fighters were able to put the flames out, but traffic is currently backed up to the Superdome and smoke can be seen from Metairie.
Officials said the fuel inside the truck's tanker did not catch fire and authorities were able to separate it from the cab of the vehicle, Nola.com reported.
